1. Eufy Omni S1 Pro
Eufy's gunmetal-and-gloss black Omni S1 Pro is one of the most impressive robot vacuum and mop combos available on the market. It makes use of lidar to navigate, create maps of rooms and floors (even multiple levels) and integrates with the free Eufy Clean app that lets you set schedules and customize the behavior of the S1.
The S1 was capable of mapping my downstairs quickly, which comprises linoleum in the dining area, kitchen and bathrooms and also a large rugs and a medium-pile. It was able to drive close to walls and even cross raised thresholds without issue. However it was a bit difficult navigating down the stairs in one step. The S1 also did an excellent job cleaning hard floors by dragging its mop smoothly on the flat side against the floor and then lifting its own weight when it reaches carpet or rug.
The docking station on the S1 automatically emptys its trash bin and replenishes its water tank onboard with clean, ozonated water prior to every mopping session. The dock also adds a cleaning solution to the water to ensure deep cleaning. The S1's water tank holds enough for about twelve cleaning sessions before it needs to be emptied, though it will differ based on how often you use the mop.
Like all 2-in-1 robots the S1 requires periodic maintenance to ensure that it's operating efficiently. You'll need to periodically rinse out the dirty tank to keep it from becoming clogged. It is also necessary to clean the swivel wheel and sensors frequently to avoid them from getting clogged by dirt or dust. Overall, the S1 is easy to maintain, particularly compared to other models that require more care.
2. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Combo Complete
This all-in-one robotic vacuum and mop combo from Ecovacs is a reliable option for cleaning needs. Its robot vacuum boasts 8,700Pa of suction and offers numerous innovative features, such as full home mapping, voice control, and smart path-planning to avoid obstacles and cleans around furniture. The mopping capabilities of the robot are impressive. Rotating mop pads actually lift floors and scrub it instead of simply dragging a pad across the surface. The mops are cleaned and dried at the base station, as required.
This robot combination is simple to setup and use, and has a clear interface that walks you through the process. It also comes with a hand vacuum which can be used to clean hard-to reach areas that the robot is unable to reach. There are also two water tanks that are automatically filled or empty. It also has a range of useful settings to fine-tune your cleaning preferences.
The Deebot X2 Combo Complete does a good job at vacuuming, and has a powerful suction that effortlessly picks up all kinds of debris, including the smaller bits of dust that other robots struggle with. Its navigation abilities are also quite good, though it can be stuck on small mats and rugs at my home (which you can alleviate by creating virtual boundaries in the app). The mopping feature is pretty excellent, too, with a pair of spinning mops that actually lift and scrub the floors, instead of simply dragging the pad over it. The mops are also cleaned with heated water and dried in the base station as needed. The mops can also be filled at the top of the station as required.
3. Dreame X40 ultra
Dreame's X30 Ultra robot vacuum and mop was released earlier this year. But their new flagship model has even more impressive features. It has outstanding cleaning performance and hands-free maintenance, making it a clear contender on our top robot vacuum and mop list. Its superior mapping capabilities, RGB AI smart recognition, and an extended side brush guarantee a thorough, customised clean.
The X40 Ultra does an excellent job of vacuuming, removing fine and large debris from both hard floors and carpets. It also cleaned the most soiled areas efficiently, while avoiding tangled pet hairs and other messes. The sweeping capability of the machine is enhanced by a sidebrush that extends to reach hard-to-reach areas, and mop pads that run along baseboards.
Its navigation is smart, navigating small spaces and negotiating stairways without missing a step. It can move from one room to another without having to reverse direction it is a useful feature for homes with multiple rooms. Its obstacle avoidance system is less advanced than that of some competitors and leaves a wide space over obstacles. This could lead to missing spots.
The app features a simple and intuitive interface that will be easy for both novice and experienced users. The app lets you plan and manage cleanings, adjust the suction power and mopping settings as well as view 3D and 2D maps, and more. The Q5 is among the few robots we test that didn't have issues with high-pile carpets or area rugs, but it couldn't remove kitty litter or cable tangles, which is no surprise since it does not include AI-powered obstacle avoidance.
5. K10 Plus
K10 Plus is the quietest robotic vacuum we've ever tested. It also uses a unique mapping system that allows it to reach tight corners and corners that other vacuums cannot.
